Greenock Camera Club this week hosted 2019 Renfrewshire Inter Club Projected Image Competition. The competition brings Renfrewshire's top clubs together to battle for the honour of best club.
Having won the competition only 4 times in its 65 year history and competing against serial winners Eastwood Photographic Society and Paisley Colour it was going to be a tough ask to add to that tally.
However, I'm delighted to report that the club did come out top on the leader board. With a combined score from 8 images of 141 Judged by Libby Smith of the SPF and Carluke Camera Club, Greenock triumphed by 3 points from Paisley Colour.
Position Club Name Score
1 Greenock CC 141
2 Paisley Colour PC 138
3 Eastwood PS 137
4 Paisley PS 131
5 Gryffe CC 122
6= Inverclyde CC 121
6= Kilmalcom CC 121
An individual award was also awarded to club President Campbell Skinner for his image "This Could be Sore Lads" which received Top Image.
The club would like to thank all of the Greenock Camera Club members who selflessly donated multiple raffle prizes and also time on the night to make the night a huge success and to the venue Greenock Golf Course.
A special thanks to Bernie Clark and Ian McCann for all of the hard work they put in preparing the night.
The club has gone from strength to strength over the last year and this result reflects the hard work of all of the clubs photographers.
Lets keep it going !!!!!!
