First meeting of the season

The club had its first meeting of the season last Thursday. It was good to see returning members and to welcome so many newcomers interested in the club.

We had a good discussion about new items and new direction members wished for the syllabus, including a host of ideas for project nights offering hands on learning of skills. The prizes for last year's competitions were presented, and we saw some images members took over the close season.

This Thursday we split into groups with similar cameras to exchange hints, ask questions, and explore areas of our camera we might not have previously used.

In the latter half of the evening we have a talk about using feedback and constructive criticism as a powerful learning tool to improve your images.

As always we welcome people thinking of joining a camera club. Come along and try a coulpe of visits without any commitment.
